METAL-POLYMER COMPOSITE HUB AND HUB TYPE SMALL FORM FACTOR OPTIC DISK FOR DATA STORAGE INCLUDING THE SAME

A metal-polymer composite hub and a micro-type hub attachment optical disc including the same for storing information are provided to be manufactured by a relatively inexpensive and simple method and be stably chucked in a spindle motor of a disc table in a state when it is attached to the optical disc. A hub(10) for an optical disc includes an upper hub(12) of a disc type and a lower hub(16). The upper hub(12) has the first radius length. The lower hub(16), extended with the upper hub(12) by one body, has the second radius length which is shorter than the first radius length. A central hole(18) for simultaneously penetrating the upper hub(12) and the lower hub(16) is formed in a central part of the hub(10).
