An apparatus for transmitting an image and a voice signal by using a communication module and a method thereof are provided to enable a user to watch content, stored at various electronic devices owned by the user, on a large screen regardless of kinds of devices. A method for transmitting an image and a voice signal by using a communication module comprises the following several steps. The first AV signal transmitter is connected to the first multimedia device(S110). The first AV signal transmitter is turned on(S120). Analog AV signals are inputted from the first multimedia device(S130). The inputted AV signals are converted into digital signals(S140). The first AV signal transmitter performs a near distance transmission of the converted digital information(S150). The second AV signal transmitter is connected to the second multimedia device(S210). The second AV signal transmitter is turned on(S220). The second AV signal transmitter receives the information from the first AV transmitter via a near field communication(S230). The second AV signal transmitter converts the received digital information into analog AV signals(S240). The second AV signal transmitter outputs the converted analog AV signals to the second multimedia device(S250).
