<p>The spring has a compensating cylinder (12) which surrounds a work cylinder (1) with space and extends over the cylinder (1). A compensating space is formed by an annular space between the cylinders. A compensating piston arrangement has a compensating piston (10) that is movably accommodated in the cylinder (12) and is formed in cup shape with a cup base. The arrangement has a cylinder section standing in engagement with the cylinder (1) and distant from the base in the direction of rod outlet ends. The piston separates a workspace, compensating space and a resetting space from one another.</p>
