A hermetic compressor is provided to prevent a deterioration phenomenon of a local pressure by forming vortex in air flux at an outlet or during a suction process. A hermetic compressor includes a compressing chamber, a stator, a suction muffler(50), an inlet part, an outlet part(52), and a vortex forming member(53). The suction muffler is installed on one side of the stator for reducing noise generated by coolant flux during coolant suction process to the compressing chamber. The inside of the suction muffler is partitioned into several spaces for reducing noise caused by a sudden pressure change during suction process. The suction muffler includes the inlet part for introducing the coolant and the outlet part for discharging the coolant passed through an inside of the suction muffler. The vortex forming member is formed inside of the outlet part to form vortex by passing the gas-type coolant through the outlet part.
