Provided are an organic light emitting device which is reduced in driving voltage of element and is improved in efficiency and lifetime characteristics, and a method for preparing the organic light emitting device. The organic light emitting device comprises a first electrode; a second electrode; a light emitting layer between the first electrode and the second electrode; a hole injection layer and a hole transport layer between the first electrode and the light emitting layer; and a charge generation layer between the hole injection layer and the hole transport layer, wherein the charge generation layer comprises at least one selected from hexanitrile hexaazatriphenylene, tetrafluorotetracyanoquinodimethane (F4-TCNQ), FeCl3, rhenium oxide (Re2O7) and indium tin oxide (ITO).
