<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a vehicular movable panel not requiring manufacturing processes to be complex, while being capable of easily dealing with pulse counting errors, if any. <P>SOLUTION: The control device for a vehicular movable panel is for controlling, based on the counts of pulse signals P1, P2 resulting from the rotation of a rotating drive, a sunroof panel 3 or the like that is driven to open or close by a geared cable 11 connected to a motor 23 equipped with a speed reduction gear 23. The control device is provided with a cable position detecting means which transmits a signal P3 when a specific portion of the geared cable on its axis is located in a predetermined position. The point where the detecting means transmits the cable position signal serves as a reference point for detection of the open or closed position of the movable panel. This eliminates the need to make the accuracy of mechanical assembling extremely high, as by adjusting the angle of rotation of a motor shaft during initial setting. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
