An image forming device and a menu explanation method thereof are provided to enable a user unfamiliar to various functions of the image forming device or having no manual to skillfully use the image forming device by explaining a selected menu through voice. A menu explanation information storing part(120) stores menu explanation information to be reproduced through the voice by using the menu as an address. A menu explanation information reader(130) reads the menu explanation information having the menu selected through a menu selector(110) as the address by responding to a voice guidance order command. A menu explainer(140) reproduces the read menu explanation information through the voice. The voice guidance order signal is generated by corresponding to operation of a headset connected to the image forming device and the headset outputs the reproduced voice.
