摘要 A real-time digital video identification system and method using a scene change length are provided to obtain the scene change length by using a scene change part between digital video frames and compares the obtained scene change length with the scene change length of another digital video stream to search and identify digital video streams in real time. A real-time digital video identification system includes a scene change detector(10), a digital video database(20), and a digital video comparator(30). The scene change detector receives a digital video stream, detects a difference between frames, and calculates a scene change length by using the difference. The digital video database stores a plurality of digital video streams and scene change lengths corresponding to the digital video streams. The digital video comparator receives the scene change length calculated by the scene change detector, makes an inquiry of the digital video database, and compares a response to the inquiry with the calculated scene change length.
