COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD USING PPB-CM(PULSE POSITION BASED CHAOTIC MODULATION)

A communication system of a PPB-CM(Pulse Position Based Chaotic Modulation) type and a communication method thereof are provided to determine a data bit of each symbol period by comparing energy values of a front part and a rear part in a receiver. A communication system of a PPB-CM type includes a transmitter(110), and a receiver(120). The transmitter(110) divides each symbol period as a transmission unit of a communication signal into at least one couple of parts, inserts and transmits a data signal to one side of the parts. The receiver(120) receives the communication signal from the transmitter(110), and determines bit information of the symbol period according to an insertion of the data signal into one side of the symbol period parts. A chaotic signal generator(111) generates a chaotic signal which is used as the data signal. A signal position modulation unit(113) divides the symbol period into a plurality of parts. The signal position modulation unit(113) inserts the chaotic signal of the chaotic signal generator(111) into one of the parts.
