Device for raising the temperature of a body cavity

In a device for increasing the temperature of a body cavity, comprising a hollow, oblong body (1) for insertion in the cavity, with a side-wall (2), upper and lower transverse end walls (3, 4), an internal heat source and an external withdrawal cord (13), the lower end wall is connected to the cord by a device (6, 8, 10) which exchanges heat between (i) the hollow body and (ii) the cord and/or ring(s) (12) around the heat exchange device. A device for increasing the temperature of a body cavity comprises a hollow, oblong body (1) for insertion in the cavity, having a side-wall (2), upper and lower transverse end walls (3, 4), an internal heat source and a fixed external withdrawal cord (13). The novel feature is that the lower end wall is connected to the withdrawal cord by a device (6, 8, 10) which exchanges heat between (i) the hollow body and (ii) the withdrawal cord and/or ring(s) (12) around the heat exchange device. The upper end wall optionally also has a device for exchanging heat between the hollow body and ring(s) around the heat exchange device. Alternatively the novel feature is that the lower end wall is connected with the withdrawal cord and the upper end wall also has a device for exchanging heat between the hollow body and ring(s) around the heat exchange device.
