Provided is an ABS molding material to find a method for obtaining information about components used from the ABS molding material, in particular a method for identifying the ABS molding material. In the ABS molding material as two-phase plastics comprising at least one thermoplastic copolymer resin and at least one graft polymer, the ABS molding material additionally contains at least one compound of the lanthanides. The compound is preferably an oxide or a combination of at least two different compounds of the lanthanides, in an amount of 0.01 to 1,000 ppm. In particular, the compound is selected from lanthanum oxide, cerium oxide, praseodymium oxide, neodymium oxide, samarium oxide, gadolinium oxide, dysprosium oxide, erbium oxide, and ytterbium oxide.
