An information signal processing device, a functional block, and a method for controlling the functional block are provided to apply correct control timing to the function blocks related to a common command when the function block is controlled by transmitting the common command. A plurality of function blocks respectively perform a series of processes for an information signal. A control block controls operation of the function blocks. More than one of the function blocks and the control block issues the common command. Each function block adaptively operates the common command by receiving the issued common command and outputs an inter-block synchronization signal on the timing for outputting the information signal processed based on the common command. Each function block includes a processing unit and a process control unit. The process control unit includes a common command receiver, a reception queue, a command executor, a processing-delay queue, and an inter-block synchronization signal transmitter.
