A method of manufacturing a feed additive composition containing onions and herbs by applying an electric current to an onion mixture to tenderize texture during onion fermentation and fermenting the fermented onions and herbs is provided. The method provides quality meat when fed to livestock, increases fermentation efficiency and produces feed additives having medicinal value of onions and herbs. An electric current with 40 to 80 volts is applied to a mixture containing cut onions, 0.1 to 10% by weight of sea salt and 0.1 to 10% by weight of methionine, the onion mixture is then fermented at 20 to 35deg.C for 2 to 5 days in the first step. Thereafter, 10 to 40% by weight of the onion mixture is mixed with 60 to 90% by weight of herbs, fermented at 20 to 35deg.C for 2 to 5 days in the second step. The herbs contain three or more components selected from the group consisting of Artemisia absinthium, arrowroot shoots, licorice root, Polygonatum root, Astragalus root, Poria cocos, beans, Rosmarinus officinalis and Menthae Herba in equal parts by weight.
