<p>The method involves mechanically severing a film strip (2) from an automatically supplied film tape held by a transfer apparatus. The film strip includes an adhesive on one side and includes a width which is equal to a width of an elastoplastic tape. The film strip is pressed against a leg section with the transfer apparatus such that a portion of the film strip adheres to the leg section. Another portion of the film strip protrudes freely beyond a corner joint. The latter portion of the film strip is wrapped around the corner joint via a pressure carriage. An independent claim is also included for an apparatus for sealing a corner joint of an elastoplastic tape placed on a glass pane as a spacer.</p> |
