An apparatus for locking a seat recliner for a vehicle is provided to prevent damage to a passenger by preventing the operation of the recliner due to a belt when the vehicle collides. An apparatus for locking a seat recliner for a vehicle includes a recliner(10), a lever housing(20), a locking bracket(30), a button(40), and a button housing(50) The recliner is mounted to a seat back support bracket and is controlled with a range of a first guide recess. The recliner includes a first gear section. The lever housing is engaged with the recliner to be rotated. The locking bracket includes a second gear section(32), a second guide recess(33), a third guide recess(35), and a return spring. The button is engaged with the front side of the locking bracket. The button housing is engaged with the lever housing. The other end of the resilient spring is engaged with the button housing. The button housing surrounds and supports a predetermined portion of the button. |
