A method for storing data in a USB memory device is provided to supplement an insufficient memory capacity of the USB memory device through communication between networked image forming devices by using a networked image forming device. A command for transferring data to the USB memory device from the image forming device is received(S410). The available storage capacity of the USB memory device is compared with a data size(S420). If the data size exceeds the available storage capacity of the USB member device, an information file, including information required for enabling the other networked image forming device to receive the data from the image forming device, is generated and stored to the USB memory device(S430). The other image forming device receives a data file stored in the USB memory device. If the data file corresponds to the information file, the other image forming device requests the image forming device to transfer the data corresponding to the information by connecting to the image forming device according to the information included in the information file.
