<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out recording in a bad-quality disk under suitable recording conditions. <P>SOLUTION: First trial writing is performed to check the quality of a disk. When the quality of the disk is bad, trial writing parameters are increased to change the sequence processing, and second trial writing is performed. Not only one partition of PCA but also any several partitions of the PCA are used to enable second trial writing. Thus, the writing accuracy of a laser is increased, and recording/reproducing can be carried out even on the bad-quality disk. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
