DRM SYSTEM AND METHOD USING INDEX TO MAKE NEW MOVING PICTURE CONTENTS FROM MULTIPLE MOVING PICTURE CONTENTS

A system and a method for performing DRM by using an index when a new moving image is generated from a plurality of moving images are provided to enable a user to decode/use the encoded moving image contents by searching matched data from encoded contents and providing the searched data to the user if the user accesses index data, and issuing a license for decoding the encoded contents referred through the index data. A DRM index generator(500) generates a DRM index by combining the plurality of moving image contents(100), information for the sections selected from the DRM moving image contents(200), each moving image content ID, and a decoding key ID corresponding to a decoding key of each moving image contents. A license generator(400) generates the license by combining the decoding key information, the decision key ID, and DRM index use right information. A transmitter(600) transmits the DRM index and the license to a client(20). The client includes a decoder(700) for outputting the new moving image contents by receiving the DRM moving image contents from a server(10) and decoding the DRM moving image contents with the license/DRM index received from the transmitter.
