PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an asymmetric synthesis of an N'-benzoyl-α-hydrazinoester compound in a high reaction yield, with good enantio-selectivity and furthermore, with high diastereo-selectivity, in an aqueous solvent. SOLUTION: In this asymmetric synthesis method, an N'-benzoyl hydrazone compound and a silyl enol ester compound are reacted with each other in an aqueous solvent, in the presence of an asymmetric diamine compound and a zinc compound, and furthermore at need, a fluoroalkylsulfonic acid or its metal salt, or a cationic surfactant compound.
