An optical apparatus is provided to apply a lens device mounted on a camera capable of detecting an image of an object for photography by only an electric view finder without having a quick return mirror. An optical apparatus includes an operation unit, a dust protection unit(200), and a controller. The operation unit is capable of moving to perform a dust protection. The dust protection unit has a movable ball(16b) accompanied with a movement of the operation unit. The controller controls an operation of the operation unit. The controller performs a specific operation to move the ball toward a specific site by the operation unit, apart from a movement of protection against dust, according to the optical apparatus mounted on another optical apparatus. The controller performs a specific operation to the operation unit as an initial communication is performed after mounting between the optical apparatus and the other optical apparatus. |
