A method for editing images of a mobile communication terminal is provided to reduce the load of the mobile communication terminal by decreasing complexity of calculations in an encoding operation. A method for editing an image of a mobile communication terminal includes a step of extracting information on a block when a moving image is decoded and referring to or skipping a frame according to the extracted information(160), a step of re-configuring a motion vector for motion estimation of a skipped frame based on the extracted information(140), a step of selecting an intra block from the skipped frame based on the extracted information(170), and a step of encoding data according to the reconfigured motion vector and the selected intra block(150).
