A plasma display panel is provided to reduce reflecting luminance and improve light room contrast by coloring a front substrate and barrier ribs. A front substrate(111) is colored with a first color. Visible rays penetrate the front substrate. A rear substrate(121) is disposed opposite to the front substrate. A plurality of barrier ribs(130) are arranged between the front substrate in order to define a plurality of discharge cells. The barrier ribs are colored with a second color. The first color and the second color are subtracted from each other or are added to each other. The front substrate includes a first coloring material for absorbing selectively light of 800 to 1200 micrometers.
