A protective film removing device of a liquid crystal panel is provided to remove a lower protective film rapidly and uniformly by gripping the lower protective film of the liquid crystal panel through a grip part, and removing the lower protective film while moving a removing part and the liquid crystal panel in opposite directions. A vertical-movement grip part(20) grips a removing tape(18) attached to a corner of a protective film(17) on a lower surface of a liquid crystal panel(10), and pulls the removing tape in an opposite direction to remove the protective film. A grip-part horizontal-movement guide(30) guides a horizontal linear movement of the vertical-movement grip unit. An upper horizontal-movement guide(40) receives the protective film to be removed on a lower surface and horizontally moves the protective film. A horizontal support plate(50) is placed at a horizontal position between the grip-unit horizontal-movement guide and the horizontal-movement guide, and receives the removed protective film when the vertical-movement grip unit is gripped. A removing part(60) is placed between the liquid crystal panel and the horizontal-movement guide, and horizontally moves to strip off the protective film while rotating with a contact surface contacting an end portion of the protective film partially separated by partial descending of the vertical-movement grip part after gripping of the removing tape.
