<p>The demountable pipe is made up of several pieces, each of which has end flanges (3, 4) which are joined to each other by a joint ring (8, 8') split into segments. One face of the flanges forms a sealing zone in which a flat concentric surface (7) of one flange (4) opposes the concentric annular part of the other flange (3). This part has a seating for a sealing joint (6) which is annular. Each flange has a centralising pressure surface (11) at an angle to the segments (8, 8') of the joint ring. The pipe is designed for use in dredging, and is quick to install or dismantle.</p> |
