Sand-blasting sand production system using ash chamber slag - has comminution hammer mill and sieve system with oversize return process

A system for producing sand blasting sand from granulated molten ash chamber slag, is constructed such that the comminuting device is situated downstream from a wire installation which is used to separate out the sand of the requisite gram size. The comminuter is a hammer type mill having a central drive shaft with attached hammers and an enclosing separator grid or sieve, with a series sieving system in sequence to it to separate out sand larger than the required grain size, so that the oversize material can be fed back from the sieve system into the hammer mill by means of a return conveyor.
