<p>A laminating machine for the prodn. of a flexible, laminated thermoplastics sheet or mat comprises supply rolls for the individual sheet a radiant heater, pressing rolls, and a winding reel for the finished cooled laminated sheet. The lower pressing roll of the pair is also an end return roll of a horizontal endless belt with motor drive so that after the separate sheets have been brought together and pressed between the rolls, they travel horizontally along the endless belt for a sufficient distance to permit proper cooling, before the final laminated sheet is reeled, the winding reel rests upon the upper side of the endless belt and has the ends of its shaft, bearing against the sides of a pair of removable upright rods fixed to the conveyor frame. Sufficient cooling distance is provided while at the same time the laminated material is not subjected to stresses by pulling it over a cooling table against friction. The mounting of the winding reel for the final laminated sheet is simple.</p> |
