The transverse partition of a swimming-pool is a lengthways-displaceable pool divider, where it is desirable to divide the length into two separate pools, for different groups of users. The pool divider (2) is a vertical concrete or reinforced-concrete wall, led by guideways extending over pref. more than half the length of the pool (1), and running at least from the edge of the pool down to its base drive. The wall may be a buoyant body, with hollow spaces filled with air or gas, and it may have a horizontal surface as a walk-way on top.
