The device is for filling and/or emptying machine tools with coolant emulsions, in which on a movable bed (1) at least one container (9, 11) for the fluid is located, with feed lines (18, 19) to the container. Normally, two containers (9, 11) are installed the first (9) being for reception of used emulsion, and the second (11) for fresh or recycled emulsion. The valve unit (28, 48) incorporates an electrical switch-over magnet valve (28) which is of the four-way type. A hose (18, 19) is mounted on an automatic hose reel (16, 17) fitted on the movable bed (1), the hose being connectable to both the machine tool and a pump (23, 26).
