An optical pickup device is provided to allow a valid area of an objective lens to selectively transmit or block a beam according to two wavelengths. An objective lens(113) includes the first area(113a) and the second area(113b). The first area(113a) transmits all incident optical beams of inter-different wavelengths. The second area(113b) is coated for blocking only a beam of a CD(Compact Disc) series among the incident optical beams of the inter-different wavelengths. The first area(113a) is located in an internal area of the objective lens(113). The second area(113b) is located in an external area of the objective lens(113).
