LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY

A lithium secondary cell has an electrode group produced by rolling positive and negative stripe electrodes with a porous heat resistant layer interposed between them, a nonaqueous electrolyte, a battery can, and a section for restricting vertical movement of the electrode group. The distance A from the restriction section to the inner bottom face of the battery can and the width B of the negative electrode satisfy 0.965<=B/A<=0.995.
