ILLUMINATION BRIGHTNESS AND COLOR CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREFOR

An illumination brightness and color control system and a controlling method thereof are provided to simplify a correction method by using a single broadband light sensor. An illumination brightness and color control system includes a timing sampling controller(17) controlling a control timing and a sampling timing of a point source and generating a plurality of control timings. A light source driver(10) generates a driving current in response to each control timing so as to drive the corresponding point source. A broadband light source monitor(11) detects and samples the point source which emits light at a specific time with respect to a brightness signal value in response to the sampling timing. A computing device(15) computes a current value modified according to a difference between a brightness/color value and the brightness signal value. A current controller(16) controls the driving current generated by the light source driver(10) according to the modified current value.
