<p>A system for reserving a parking lot by using an electronic ID is provided to remove expense for managing customers of the parking lot, and enable drivers to reserve the parking lot near a destination place through the Internet while driving to the destination place and save time required for parking a vehicle. Each vehicle(11-15) includes an RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) device(111) providing an ID code, a GPS module(112) calculating a current location, and a GPRS(General Packet Radio Service) module(113). Each parking lot(P1-P4) provides parking lot information. A remote server(20) is connected to the GPRS module(21) and a parking lot database(22) storing the parking lot information. Each parking lot computer(311-341) is connected to the remote server through the Internet and is connected to an RFID ID reader(312,313) installed to gates(314,315). The remote server receives a parking request from the vehicle, searches the parking lot corresponding to the current location information of the vehicle from the parking lot database, and transmits a reservation command to the parking lot computer corresponding to the selected parking lot.</p> |
