An ice-maker for a refrigerator is provided to prevent water for making ice from being overflown and protect ice from odor from food in the refrigerator by arranging an ice tray in an installation space of an ice-making housing partitioned from a freezer. An ice-maker for a refrigerator includes a first ice-making housing(41), a second ice-making housing(51), an ice transfer opening(53), an ice tray(71), a ice bank(81), and a water tank(61). The first and second ice-making housings are formed on an other plane of a freezer door(31a). Installation spaces(41s,51s) are formed on the first and second ice-making housings respectively. A predetermined mounting space(S) is formed between a bottom of a door basket(32) and an upper plane of the first ice-making housing. The ice transfer opening is formed on an upper plane of the second ice-making housing. The ice transfer opening is a path through which ice made in the ice tray transferred. The water tank is installed on the mounting space and stores water to be supplied to the ice tray. The ice tray is installed in the installation space of the first ice-making housing. A plurality of ice-making grooves(72) are formed on the ice tray for making the ice. The ice tray is rotatably installed in the installation space of the first ice-making housing. The ice back is installed in the installation space of the second ice-making housing and has an ice storage(81s) inside for storing the ice made in the ice tray.
