An organic light emitting device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to obtain operation stability and uniformity of the device by controlling a size of an active driving unit. An organic light emitting device(400) includes a plurality of organic light emitting units(420,440,460) on a substrate(401). An active driving unit(410) is laminated on one side of top and bottom of each organic light emitting unit(420,440,460). The active driving unit(410) is made of transparent semiconductor material and conductive material. The organic light emitting unit(420,440,460) includes a transparent first electrode, an organic light emitting layer formed on the first electrode, and a transparent second electrode formed on the organic light emitting layer.
