A suction nozzle of a vacuum cleaner is provided to easily recognize signs indicated in a height display unit through radiating light by a light source without bending the body, and to adjust the height accurately by sensing the present height of the suction nozzle precisely. A suction nozzle assembly includes a suction nozzle body, a height adjusting unit for adjusting the height of the suction nozzle body, a height display unit(270) for displaying the present height adjusted by the height adjusting unit with signs, a light source(273) visibly indicating the signs in the height display unit by radiating light, and a display unit formed in the upper part of the body to check the signs. The light source is placed inside the height display unit, and formed of a lamp or a light emitting diode. A support unit(274) supports the light source. A display window is formed in the display unit to restrict inflow of foreign matters.
