An electro-hydraulic brake system is provided to increase reliability of the brake system and preventing reduction of reliability due to wearing of a sealing generated from a master cylinder. An electro-hydraulic brake system includes a brake pedal(20), a master cylinder(22), a reservoir(23), a wheel cylinder(24), and a hydraulic control unit(25). The brake pedal is operated by a driver to reduce a speed of a vehicle. The master cylinder receives a force transmitted from the brake pedal. The reservoir is disposed on the master cylinder to store oil. The wheel cylinder receives oil from the reservoir to brake each wheel. The hydraulic control unit disposed between the master cylinder and the wheel cylinder and includes a plurality of valves(34,35,40,43), sensors(33,41), a pump(30), and an accumulator(32). A pedal displacement sensor(21a) is disposed at the brake pedal to detect intention of a driver.
