摘要 A method and a device for managing power in an embedded Linux system are provided to reduce the power consumption in a busy state as well as a standby state by dividing power management in embedded Linux and automatically adjusting a power management step by CPU usage. A calculator(110) calculates the CPU usage if a tick interrupt is generated and calculates a change rate of the CPU usage to reset the power management step. A comparator(120) checks whether the power management step is the maximum power consumption step, and compares to reset the power management step by comparing the CPU usage and the CPU usage change rate with predetermined values. A step adjuster(130) adjusts and resets the power management step by a comparison result. If the CPU usage is bigger than the maximum CPU usage limit, the step adjuster sets the minimum power management step.
