An apparatus for lifting glass and a method for manufacturing an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) by using the same are provided to accurately and stably transfer heavy and large-sized glass by employing a dual cylinder structure and synchronizing operations of driving units. A first support(10a) and a second support(10b) are separately installed at both sides with a predetermined distance therebetween so as to support a glass. A first driving unit(20a) and a second driving unit(20b) are installed at respective end portions of the first and second supports, are operated individually, and transfer the first and second supports up to a predetermined position. A synchronization unit(30) is connected to the first and second supports, and maintains horizontality of the first and second support. The first support includes shafts(12) respectively inserted in a plurality of bearings(11,32) installed at a frame of a main body to be moved, a pin provided at one end of each of the shafts and supporting the glass, and a support plate(14) horizontally fixing and supporting the other end of each of the shafts. |
