A variable orifice structure of a shock absorber is provided to automatically and appropriately adjust a diameter of an orifice hole to simplify structure of the shock absorber. A variable orifice structure of a shock absorber includes a piston rod(10), a piston head(11), and a plurality of orifice holes(12). The piston rod is provided with the piston head formed at its tip part and having a circular shape. The plurality of orifice holes are formed at the piston head. An arcuate adjustment projection(13) are formed at a center part of the orifice hole in a longitudinal direction that a diameter of the orifice hole can be reduced. The adjustment projection is formed of a rubber material or a spring projection having elasticity. An upper adjustment plate(14a) and a lower adjustment plate(14b) are installed at an upper surface and a lower surface of the piston head to be in contact with upper and lower edges of the adjustment projection.
