PREPARATION OF POLYOLEFIN USING MAGNESIUM SUPPORTED ZIEGLER-NATTA CATALYSTS

A method for preparing polyolefin using a magnesium supported Ziegler-Natta catalyst is provided to improve the polymerization activity of the catalyst largely by adding a bulky halogenated hydrocarbon during the polymerization process. The method for preparing polyolefin by polymerizing olefin using a magnesium-supported Ziegler-Natta catalyst consists of adding at least one halogenated hydrocarbon selected from the group consisting of halogenated C4-8 alicyclic hydrocarbons and C6-10 aromatic hydrocarbons during the polymerization process. The polymerization process is undergone in a C5-12 aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent under the pressure of 1-500psi at the temperature of 50-200°C.
