An indoor machine of an air conditioner, wherein a pipe retaining member (13) retaining an auxiliary pipe (8) connected to a heat exchanger (3) is disposed near the side face or bottom face of a bottom frame (6). The pipe retaining member (13) is bent in an L-shape, and its short plate part (15) is exposed to the side face of the bottom frame (6). The pipe retaining member (13) can be disconnected only by slightly separating near the bottom part of the bottom frame (6) from the surface of a wall in the fixed state of the indoor machine to the wall. Since the heat exchanger (3) can be separated from the bottom frame (6) without disconnecting the auxiliary pipe (8) from a communication pipe, the maintenance of the heat exchanger (3) such as washing can be efficiently performed without requiring a large labor for separating the auxiliary pipe (8) from the communication pipe.
