An R-T-B-T type rare earth sintered magnet and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to obtain a sintered magnet having a large temperature constant of resistivity at low cost. An R-T-B-T type rare earth sintered magnet includes an R-T-B-C type magnet alloy and an R-T-B-C sintering supporting alloy. The R-T-B-T rare earth sintered magnet is obtained by mixing, grinding, molding, and sintering the R-T-B-C type magnet alloy and the R-T-B-C sintering supporting alloy. A sintered structure of the rare earth sintered body consists of an R2T14B type pillar crystal and a grain boundary. The grain boundary is composed of 40 - 98 volume% of R-O1-x-F1+2x and/or R-Fy, 1 - 50 volume% of a compound phase including one or more than two selected from R-O, R-O-C, R-C compounds, 0.05 - 10 volume% of an R-T phase, 0.05 - 20 volume% of a phase having abundant B or an M-B2 phase, and the rest having abundant R. |
