An optical information processing apparatus, a method for calculating a probability value for decoding optical information by using the same, and a method for decoding the optical information are provided to divide a data page of reproduced optical information into a plurality of local blocks and correct an error of optical information by using probability values for the respective local blocks. A light source(110) irradiates a beam on a storing medium. An optical information detector(160) detects optical information reproduced from the storing medium. A probability value calculating unit(170) divides the optical information detected in the optical information detector(160) into a plurality of local blocks, and calculates probability values for pixels of the local blocks. A data decoding unit(200) decodes optical information of the local blocks by using the probability values calculated in the probability value calculating unit(170).
