The jewel has a spherical element (12) such as a pearl of jewelry. A support (14) has a band made up of a metallic material with a circular shape cut and an opening at respective ends. The band is conformed into a winding so that one end covers the other end, and the spacing between the cut and opening forms a housing that fixes the element. The element is introduced into the housing by a slight elastic deformation of a part of the band, and then maintained between the contour of the cut and a part of the contour of the opening by the elasticity of material of the band.
