<p>The valve is partic. for mounting in the feed pipe from a fuel storage tank before the flowmeter. It has an upright housing (1) with an outlet (4) at a lower level than the inlet (2), also an air vent (6) at the top which can be connected to the pipe after the flowmeter and bypassing the latter. The outlet is shut off by a ball valve (10), actuated by a float (7) in the housing. The float also actuates a second ball valv (9) in the housing, shutting off the air vent when the fluid in the housing has reached a predetermined level. The housing can have a number of low-level outlets and/or high level air vents, each working with a valve actuated by the float.</p> |
