摘要 A method for adjusting a picture size and position by using an optical sensor in a CRT(Cathode Ray Tube) projection TV is provided to automatically adjust a size and a position of a picture based on picture position and size data when an image is inputted to the optical sensor by attaching the optical sensor to left and right diagonal ends of a projection TV screen. A light quantity inputted to an optical sensor attached to left and right diagonals of a screen is confirmed. Left horizontal position data and right horizontal position data are extracted by using the light quantity, and reference points of left and right sides are set up. A left and right position middle value is extracted from the left and right horizontal position data. The extracted middle value is used as left and right position data. A size of an image is increased left and right to detect all light quantities in the optical sensor. Horizontal position data in which all the light quantities are detected in the optical sensor are corrected by distance between the screen and the optical sensor.
