A vessel for fermenting and a refrigerator using the same are provided to smoothly ferment or to germinate by solving a temperature imbalance problem between a top and a bottom of the vessel. A vessel(40) for fermenting includes a rack(30) for exclusive use. The rack is composed with shape of chest and installed in the vessel to ferment soy beans and to produce a germinated brown rice. The rack includes a leg unit and a cover(34). The leg unit is installed at a bottom of the rack to separate from a bottom of the vessel. The cover is installed at a top of the rack to prevent overheat a top part through a heater at a door. A protrusion(32) is protruded in an inner wall of the rack by being separated from a bottom surface of the rack at a predetermined height. A plurality of through holes(33a) is formed on a separation plate(33) to prevent the inside of the rack from being dried.
