A TV system for reducing standby power is provided to reduce power consumed in a microcomputer and reduce the standby power by adding an electronic circuit for controlling a standby voltage inputted to the microcomputer in a standby state of the TV system and controlling the electronic circuit by using an IR(Infrared Ray) signal and a local key signal of a TV set. A switch control circuit(40) transmits a control signal for turning on/off the power of a microcomputer(60) according to an IR signal and a local key signal of a TV. A switch circuit(50) turns on/off a standby voltage inputted to the microcomputer(60) according to the control signal of the switch control circuit(40).
