An operating device of a horizontal smoke removing party wall is provided to secure safety and convenience by moving down the party wall from the ceiling only in a fire by an automatic control unit. The operating device of a horizontal smoke removing party wall is composed of a body(10) horizontally installed at the outer surface of the ceiling(150) at a predetermined gap; an opening and closing module(20) fixed to the ceiling, installed at the side of the body, and turned on or off by electromagnetic force to open and shut the body; a frame(70) fixed to the ceiling and side walls and composed of a hinge(40) installed at the body opposite to the opening and closing module to turn the body and a fixing bracket(50) disposed on the front end and connected with the hinge and the ceiling; a smoke sensing module(110) with a smoke sensing function; a control module(100) operating the opening and closing module according to a smoke sensing signal of the smoke sensing module; and a gasket(60) disposed around a part coming into contact with the body when the body is vertically set up on the upper side of the frame. The body is moved down about the hinge by operating the opening and closing module in a fire and changed into a vertical structure to form a smoke removing party wall.
