A method for checking a network error in a network printer system is provided to check a cause of the network error and give a solution of the problem to a user by using a network parameter value used when a network printer server sets a network printer IP. The parameter value for using a network printer is set and the parameter value is stored to the network printer server(S101). The network parameter value stored in the network printer server is searched when the network error is generated while using the network printer(S103). The cause of the network error is analyzed by comparing the set network parameter value with the network parameter value stored in the network printer server(S104). The information of solution from an analysis result is displayed(S105). The network parameter value includes at least one of a MAC(Media Access Control) address, an IP address, a subnet mask address, a default gateway address, and a network printer type of the network printer.
